Frequently Asked Questions
1. Do I need any experience with meditation to join?
No experience at all! This course is designed for complete beginners and for anyone returning to meditation after a break.
2. How long are the practices?
The videos are short tutorials under 10 minutes and there's one 15 min class to help you get started. For the meditation challenge you can return to the same video or practice for as little as 3 minutes on your own.
3. Do I need special equipment?
No. You just need a quiet space and a place to sit—like a chair, cushion, or even your bed.
4. What if I can’t sit cross-legged?
That’s okay. You can sit however you feel comfortable. I'll talk you through it in the first class. A chair works perfectly fine too.
5. What kind of meditation will we practice?
I’ll share the simple technique I use every day. It comes from the Vipassana tradition, and I’ll explain where I learned it and why it works.
6. What if my mind won’t stop thinking?
That’s normal. Meditation isn’t about shutting off thoughts. It’s about learning how to notice them and come back to the present.
7. How often should I meditate?
You’ll get the most benefit if you practice daily, even for just 5–10 minutes. But there’s no pressure—this course is here to help you build consistency at your own pace.
8. Will meditation help with stress?
Yes. Many students notice they feel calmer, sleep better, and handle stress with more ease after a few sessions.
9. Can I do the practices at any time of day?
Yes. Some people like mornings to start fresh, others prefer evenings to wind down. Try both and see what feels best for you.
10. Do I need to believe in anything spiritual or religious?
No. Meditation is for everyone. You don’t need to follow any belief system to benefit from the practice.
11. What if I miss a day?
That’s okay. This isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up again the next time. Even missing a week doesn’t mean you’ve failed. Just return when you’re ready.
12. How soon will I feel results?
Some people feel calmer after their very first session. For others, it takes a few weeks of practice. Think of it like exercise—the benefits grow over time.
15. What happens after I finish the course?
You’ll feel confident and fully prepared to keep meditation going in your everyday life. You can always access the course any time for a refresher or a guided practice.
